Extended Schools
The extended services agenda was a government focus until September 2010 by which time all schools in Learning Community 2 met this requirement. Schools in LC2 work together to provide opportunities for all pupils to reach their potential, this includes activities outside the curriculum. These activities are often referred to as 'extended services' and are grouped in four main areas:
- Childcare
- Varied programme of activities
- Parenting support
- Referral to specialist services
