Learning Community Staff

A number of staff assist in the day-to-day management of the Learning Community.

Learning Community Coordinator
Hazel O'Gorman is the Learning Community Coordinator. She is responsible for the strategic management of the Community and for implementing the agreed development plan. She represents Learning Community 2 at Local Authority level.

Parent Support Assistants (PSA)
Jemma Kirby and Anita Cooke work across the Community to support parents and families. The role of the PSA is to assist in tackling underachievement by working in partnership with families, parents, carers and pupils in a school context to enable pupils, particularly the most disadvantaged, to have full access to educational opportunities and overcome barriers to learning and participation.

Adminintrative Assistant
Rachel Roberts is the Learning Community Administrative Assistant. She organises events and meetings for the Learning Community and is the central point of contact for governors and County representatives. She manages the web site and liaises with colleagues to ensure that all information is up-to-date.

School Sports Partnership Coordinator
Stewart Seymour is responsible for coordinating sporting activities in the Learning Community. He is supported by School Sports Coordinators based in middle schools and Primary Link Advisors in lower schools. Stewart is based at Vandyke Upper School and can be contacted via the school, tel: 01525 636700.

Finance Manager
Alison Lunn is employed by Vandyke Upper School and manages the finances on behalf of the Learning Community. She works closely with the Learning Community Coordinator and prepares half-termly reports for the Leadership and Management Group.
